February 2026 Club Update

Hello Everyone,

The big question, “How are the trails?” All of the PathBlazers trails have been groomed and are in pretty good shape considering. The holes are filled and a hard base has been established with very few real rough spots. We do have some logging on our south trail just off of the Alborn Grade which has about 1 mile of plowed road, so please use caution. A hardy group rode to our January 21st monthly club meeting at The Riverside Inn and reported that it was great to finally get out and ride. If you are a PathBlazers member you will be receiving a copy of the newsletter and the meeting minutes in an email, please check your spam and junk folders.

The PathBlazers club ride is coming up this Friday February 6-8. We will be riding to The Grand Superior Lodge just north of Two Harbors, Mn. Friday we will be leaving from our maintenance building in Chisholm at about 9:30am, head to the North Shore, tour various trails on Saturday, and head back to the Range Sunday. Our club ride is a family friendly fun event that we try to do each year. If you would like to join us, call Jamie @ 218-969-7702 for more info.  YOU will be responsible for your own reservations for lodging.

The Blackwoods Never Surrender Tour to fight ALS will be stopping by our building on Thursday February 12th for a little lunch and to top off with fuel. This will be a smaller group as the routes have changed; however we are delighted to be included as a host to such an awesome group of people riding and raising money for a great cause. For more info on the Blackwoods Never Surrender Blizzard Tour, a ride to fight ALS, go to www.BlackWoodsBlizzardTour.com.

Saturday February 14th the D.A.V. Vintage Iron on the Range will be held. Come down to Palmers Tavern in Hibbing and check out all the vintage sleds. Registration is at 8am, the ride starts at 11am and will go to Keewatin where there will be a show and reception. The group then rides back to Palmers for awards and prizes. All proceeds will go to support the local Disabled American Veterans chapter. This ride is honoring the memory of one of the events originators, Jason Husted, who is greatly missed. This is for you “Big Show”. For more info, call Matt Anderson @ 218-969-9066.

Other events coming up, Saturday February 21st will be KC Pro Racing in Side Lake, Mn, and Saturday February 28th the PathBlazers will host another Snowmobile Safety Training Class at our maintenance building in Chisholm. Be on the lookout for more info or checkout our posted events.

Just a reminder, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, will be our monthly meeting at The Highway 5 Bar & Grill. Meeting starts at 6:00pm and everyone is welcome to attend. Ride or drive, this is a great way to find out what The PathBlazers Snowmobile Club is all about, how we maintain the trails you enjoy, meet up and talk with fellow riders and snowmobile enthusiasts, and get info on future events. Not a member, no problem. Please don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food item(s) to be donated to the local food shelves. Hope to see you there.
