Hi Folks,
First off it was great to see everyone at our Pizza Party/Election Night during our October monthly meeting. A big THANK YOU to those that accepted the nominations and were voted onto the Board of Directors. Dan Marich will remain as the PathBlazers president, Joe McKenney will stay as our Vice-Chair as well as our Trail Coordinator, and Tammy Johnson has become our new treasurer. Check out more about the meeting in the Meeting Minutes attached to this newsletter for all members receiving this through email.
Despite the beautiful fall we have been having, winter will be here before we know it. But this gives us some time to get some work done to prepare for the season. One such project is a new trail shelter to be located on the intersection of the Taconite Trail and the Side Lake cut off. Work times will be in the evenings of October 28-30, Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, and will meet after 4:30 to work a couple plus hours a night. The work will take place indoors at the shop of club member Dan Tarnowski. Saturday, November 1st, the completed pieces will be loaded and hauled to the final assembly location on the Tac. Trail via the Dean Forest Road. The PathBlazers would appreciate your help even if you can’t make all the nights. For more info about the shelter project, or other trail maintenance needed, please contact Trail Coordinator Joe McKenney at 218-969-9717 or email to trailcoordinator@pathblazersclub.com.
Some exciting news as The ALS Never Surrender Blackwoods Blizzard Tour will be stopping at our maintenance facility in Chisholm, Mn again this year. Thursday, February 12, 2026, we will host one of the groups for the ALS Blackwoods Blizzard Tour as they stop by for lunch and fuel. We have hosted this event for several years now and are proud to have them back.
The PathBlazers Club Ride has been tentatively set for February 6-8, 2026, and our destination will be The North Shore. We are still working on final details of this event but mark your calendars. Everyone is welcome to ride with us, non-members as well, and it is a family friendly event.
The PathBlazers would also like to congratulate and thank Dan Tarnowski as he is our new Snowmobile Safety Trainer. He, along with Jessica Stahl, will be scheduling the first training session soon, so keep an eye out.
